I headed to Chicago a couple of weeks ago to meet up with Caitlin and Andrew for their engagement session. As we drove into the city from Michigan it rained and poured and most of the morning downtown continued to be wet. Miraculously, the clouds parted just as our session began and we even got a small, beautiful sunset that evening! Both Caitlin and Andrew were such great sports, and just so photogenic and fun! We are so excited for their Northport, Michigan wedding next year and can't wait for you to see their stunning e-session images! We started at the riverwalk, swung through their neighborhood and ended at Lincoln Park to catch the sunset and the city as it lit up and headed into dusk. I am always excited to share weddings and sessions but this particular engagement session is extra, extra special because I got to capture my best friend/business partner and her handsome fiance a couple of weeks ago. We ventured out to the shore of Lake Michigan in Holland and caught the sunset hours for this beautiful session. I am so excited to be traveling to California in just over two weeks to celebrate their wedding and marriage and it was so sweet to be able to document a small part of this wonderful season my friends are in. Congratulations to this super lovely (and super photogenic) couple! 

California is just too beautiful for words, and this Half Moon Bay engagement definitely did justice to the beauty of the coast. I just loved my time with Rachel and Andrew. They are so playful and in love and at points I think they forgot I was even there! We made the mile walk to the beach and experienced a rare SUNNY Half Moon Bay day (no fog! no marine layer!). They frolicked, I snapped away, we all got a little sunburnt.. it was glorious! Seriously, check out some of my favorites and see for yourself.
