Maggie + Ace kicked off our 2021 wedding season and BOY was it a beautiful day! After the postponements and craziness of the prior year, to arrive to such a sunny, joy-filled event was a gift! We got to team up with the mega talent Chandra, of Orchestrated Grace, and experience that magic that only northern Michigan has to offer. We started the day at the bride’s cottage on Glen Lake, and ended at a private residence that had been transformed into the most beautiful reception. We especially loved handmade wooden ring tray made by the groom and the couple’s talents were put to good use as they brewed beverages as favors for their guests. Mainstreet Soul blew the party away with their live music and Stella Mobile Bar, Bubbles and Brews and Flour Shop kept the guest well hydrated and filled up on the most flavorful and moist cake we have ever had at a wedding! Sometimes, wedding days just go off without a hitch. Jill & Avery’s was one of those wedding days where all of the pieces seemed to fall right into place. It was the most glorious end of summer warm-but-cool temperature, Aurora Cellars was beautifully green and humming with bees and the sound of rustling grape vines, and everyone was just plain happy. Maybe it was the fact that they were so ready to get married, or that their sense of humor was so wonderful that they pulled everyone around them right in see things with their sunny outlook. Whatever it was, it was the kind of wedding day that you want to repeat and definitely relive. I hope you can feel the joy, energy, and beauty through some of my favorite images below! It is no secret that Petoskey, Michigan is one of the most gorgeous spots in Northern Michigan. When we arrived at the Inn At Bay Harbor for Courtney and Matthews wedding, it was overcast and has just rained. In fact, in the image below you can see some rain puddles on the pavement! But just like Michigan always does, the skies cleared within 15 minutes to the most gorgeous sunny day! The Inn is a spectacular, immaculate location and was made even more beautiful by the waterside ceremony arch covered in seasonal flowers (the lilacs smelled so amazing in the breeze!) that was made by BLOOM floral. Courtney was a stunning bride and her maids in blush pink looked amazing against the water! The groom and his groomsmen were incredibly sharp looking in their black tuxes and no one was cuter than the couples daughter who served as the flower girl for the day. Every detail was beautiful and reflected the couples soft, romantic wedding aesthetic. We were gifted with the most gorgeous sunset as guests sat at the waterside fire and watched the boats go by. The wedding party danced into the warm, summer night and it was another wedding for the books! We hope you enjoy some of our favorites!
