I think I tend to get really, really lucky with the clients I work with. Danielle and Ryan are among some of the sweetest, most laid back people I have ever met. When the beautiful fall color in Michigan had all but gone away, Danielle rolled with it and we shot engagement photos with a different aesthetic. When we had to reschedule meetings, they were totally okay with it. And when I called to tell her I was due with my baby a mere two weeks before their wedding-- they basically shrugged it off and said "we trust you". Talk about amazing (or crazy!) Either way, these two were a joy to work with from start to finish. I even got to come for a few hours of their big day to shoot bridal portraits, first look, bride and groom and some details. Another personally sweet detail was that my dad, a pastor in Grand Rapids, officiated their wedding and got to know them as well. We both agree that two more genuine people, you'd be hard pressed to find.
I am always struck by how beautiful a bride is on her wedding day, and Danielle was no exception. She stunned in a delicate lace gown (with a see-through back that was to die for!) and Ryan was smitten as they shared seeing one another for this first time. The ballroom at City Flats served as the backdrop for ceremony and reception, and the gals at Events by I Candy knocked it out of the park with florals and decor.
Thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding day and congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Niewoonder!
